Order in Life

BridgeMBFeb17

Order, structure, rhythm, discipline  – these are key qualities we need to build now in developing our consciousness. Without these we just drift along, often experiencing overwhelm and wasting a lot of time.

When we work to develop these qualities we use time efficiently, we become much more organised and so we have more time available to us. We change our relationship to time. We stop fighting with it and fixating on the story that we don’t have enough time.

People frequently experience overwhelm because of a lack of order and structure in life. When you are feeling stressed by too much happening, too many demands and that sense of too little time – take some quiet time to reflect and sit with your journal. Ask your Higher Self and Spirit to help you to discover solutions.

I don’t have time to take that time you might say. Don’t give into this. Make the time. Go to a quiet place and take your journal. Observe what’s going on for you. Think about why you are upset and reacting. When you use your mind in this way and write about this in your journal, you see clearly. You’re no longer being run by your emotions. When you stand back and observe your emotions, you are using your mind and this allows clarity, space and understanding.

Ask your Higher Self and Spirit for help and do your part too, by using your journal, observing your emotions and thinking about what is upsetting you. Then you can begin to think solutions because you are no longer lost in the fog and confusion of emotion. You are using your mind and working with your inner guidance.

When you decide that you are going to put more order into your life, you begin to see where and how it will make a difference to your experience. You need to be patient with yourself and to be ready to make adjustments according to what you discover as you work at putting order into your life. You also need to be persistent and choose to be excited by this project rather than heavy – don’t allow any space to that critical inner parent voice. Focus on victories and on what you want to improve and how you will go about improving.

Silence

BlueSkyMB

Silence truly is golden. It is nourishing. It is essential. In the silence we can connect, centre, listen. In the silence we can begin to hear that “still small voice” within – the voice of Spirit, of our Soul.

So many think they should be socialising, generally in company and chatting.  They think this is the right way to be – there’s something wrong with you if you want time on your own, if you want to go to bed early, or have a quiet night at home on your own, or don’t want to go to a particular social event or not drink alcohol.

Spending time with others, being in relationship, is very important but, so too, is time alone. It’s all about balance. It’s also about learning to be true to yourself and not going with the crowd – feeling wrong if you think differently.

So much of life can be filled with distractions. So much of life can be numbing out.  We waste a lot of time.

In the silence we can begin to hear that “still small voice” of our Soul speaking to us, loving us, guiding us. This is our compass in life. This is where we need to be checking in – not with what others think or what the world tells us is important if you want to fit in, be cool, be liked.

Take time to sit in silence. Feel the stillness.

Take time to sit and quiet your mind. Slow down. Breathe. Become conscious of the inner you.

Light a candle and sit in silence, stillness, peace.

Find time in your day to play some uplifting music and feel the vibrations of the music touch your Soul.

Take time to be in Nature – walking, gardening, or just being out in Nature, connecting with the beauty, the wonder of our earth and world.

Make space in your day, in your life, to be still, to listen, to connect. “Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks within, awakens.” Carl Jung

Living Your Day

What I do with my life, with my time here, really matters. Life is a precious opportunity and the only thing we take with us when we leave is our Spiritual growth.

Some people experience having too much to do in a day – the day isn’t long enough. Others would say that they have nothing to get up for. We can change these experiences and live a full, ordered and meaningful life.

Just as the Universe is based on order and rhythm – which we rely on – so we need to have order in the way we live our life. Structure, Order, Rhythm, Discipline – these are essential to life. Without these we just drift along, often experiencing overwhelm and wasting a lot of time.

When we work to develop these qualities we use time efficiently, we become much more organised and so we have more time available to us.

Discipline is a word many don’t like and many would say they are not the discipline type. But discipline is something you build, you develop, and it’s essential to progressing and growing. We need it and we all have the ability to develop it.

Discipline is ordered activity – it’s you choosing to set up order and routines in your life so that you have a sense of the overall structure of your day. People can see routine as boring but routine means you fit in so much more and experience a lot more efficiency. You don’t waste time over and over as a result of forgetting, or losing stuff or your energy being scattered. Living your day – structure, order, rhythm

Every day we need time to be still and to connect with our Soul, with Spirit in meditation. Every day we need time to journal so that we understand more and can use our minds to manage our emotions [rather than be run by them] and to resolve issues. Every day we need time to focus on lofty, uplifting, inspiring thoughts and ideas. These need to be the foundation of our day, our sustenance giving us the focus we need to live our day and keep growing in love.

These need to be part of our daily structure and will make all the difference. It can seem at first like an impossibility to fit all of this in but if you realise its importance and are prepared to schedule these in [giving yourself time to work out a routine and yet also being firm], you will do it.

Some Thoughts about the Challenges Trump brings

vals-rosesmbfeb2017

There is a lot of fear and a sense of powerlessness around the Trump presidency and the rise of this kind of power in the world. Socrates said “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

Separative, fear-based, negative, all about me and mine, thinking, is the old. Love, cooperation, working together for the greater good of all, is building the new.

Be very clear what you want to build in your life and in our world and take action to make this happen. What happens in our world depends on all of us doing our part to build the new and not give our power away to fear and powerlessness. As the saying goes – it’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

We could get stuck in criticising Trump’s politics, giving out about him, blaming, complaining, making fun of.  This just leads to feeling powerless, helpless. We could get stuck in negative expectation and doom and gloom, holding a dismal image of the world. Is this the energy we want to increase?

The world is steeped in separative, fear-based thinking, me, mine, looking after self and one’s own. That’s why we have the rise of such politics in our world. It’s not just Trump. It’s like he is the expression of a pattern that we need to clear, heal and change in our world generally.

We need to take responsibility for how separative, fear-based thinking operates in our own consciousness. It takes honesty and commitment to do this work but when we do it and keep replacing separation and fear with unity and love, we effect change in ourselves and in our world.

Our focus needs to be to build unity and love within self and radiate this out into the world, to hold a clear image of the world we want to create together and to take all positive action we can in our world to support love and unity and to be the change we want to see in our world. This is very powerful and effective.

As Avaaz.org said “Instead of dividing us, let’s make Trump a force to bring us together, to fight for everything we love.
